Ehsan Taheri received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2014. His research interests are focused on applying optimal control principles for achieving enhanced performance of dynamical systems with an emphasis on aerospace vehicles. In particular, he has performed research on designing low-thrust and impulsive spacecraft trajectories using shape-based and indirect/direct optimization methods. His research interests are on developing novel methods to facilitate numerical solutions to optimal control problems that arise in orbital mechanics, atmospheric flight and operating dynamical systems.
